| Veteran | Smart Advertising! So I was just reading about the site: milliondollarhomepage.com This guy took a million pixels and sold them at $1 a piece with a 100 pixel minimum. For all you quick cookies that's a million dollars if each pixel sold and guess what, he did it! Now, there are several other advertisers out there trying to do the same thing but why not allow you members on your forum or whatever be able to purchase some advertising. Maybe a dollar is too much or a 10,000 x 10,000 pixel banner is to large but what about a smaller banner and lower price? Maybe $.25 or $.10 a pixel... It could be a creative way to sell links or whatever you wanted to do? He also doesn't ever change the links and doesn't charge per click. My question to you is, how would or could you use this type of advertising on your site effectively? Maybe not the exact same way he did but I'm sure there is some way you can do this and make some money.

| Veteran | One way could be by selling your avatar space..Although you couldn't link them directly you could make your avatar become several ads in one, and then wrap a <a href variable around the image linking to a website like - Kielingtonsavatar.com that actually DOES link to the websites... If you have several accounts that you post on and what not it could be an excellent strategy to make a couple of bucks...

| Veteran | But instead of like selling to one person, why not sell to several and have a small image that people click that opens a new page with big ads...?

| The Webmaster ![]() | Hmm, pretty interesting idea. Would really only work for ad space on webmaster-related forums, but could probably find some other function on other types of forums.

![]() | My forum is built for free advertising. Everything is free. It's basically for people that have auction site stores opened but anyone can put links and banners in their sigs and post. It's a new forum. Not much traffic yet. You know how that goes with getting traffic. Takes some time.
