 | Tools to Help Run a New Member Referral Contest? More than anything, Net Builders needs new members. Because of that, I'd like to run a new member referral contest. But... I worry about the difficulties involved in keeping track of all of that data. To reduce cheating, I would like to only "count" new members who make at least ten non-spammy posts. So, I need to keep track of new members, the existing member who referred each of them, and the number of posts made by each new member. Over the course of a month, that could be an enormous headache. Has anyone seen tools to automate this process?

| Hi Will, I've been looking for basically the same thing for a long time. I run a phpbb3 and not a Vbulletin though. Sorry to say i haven't run across such an animal yet. I am thinking of having one built so you could run referral and posting contests with forum selection and character length in posts. There were a few other things to include But I haven't tahen that step yet Sorry Brad West ~ onomoney PS: if you do find something similar it may be easy to tweak depending on the code quality

| Yeah, there are plenty of referrer tracking mods you can use.. Brandon Sheley's is a very good one, I recommend it.

| I've used the e-steki referral stats before, it works pretty well, either of those should be a good bet for you.

| The e-stecki tool allows me to specify a start date, which is very useful for contest purposes. That's why I'm keeping it over Psionic Vision's mod. I think that I will kick the contest off on 1 May and let it run for a month. That should make it fairly easy to keep track of.
