Site has no one!

Ok, I launched my site about 3 months ago, and the most visitors I got was 3 members, most new now are bots which I have to stop, I have had absolutley no luck getting members! this is my site

Please help!

Logout and take a look at your sites home page. It's very uninviting, with all of those "YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED" messages.

Your actual forum index page is better once a person finds it, but it still needs a lot of love. For a person on a lower-resolution screen, all of the posts will appear below the fold.

General interest communities can be very difficult to get off the ground, because there's no specific reason for people to join your community. As such, you are probably going to have to make friends and invite them to your community one at a time.

To get conversation started initially, you might consider creating a dozen accounts and getting some seed conversations started between your own accounts.

Agree with everything said above. Try not to take this as ranting- just constructive criticism...

The skin is horrible. The very first thing people see when visiting your site is the skin- it has a much bigger impact than some people think it does. Additionally, from the home page alone, I should be able to tell what your forum is about - I can't.

You have celebrity deaths as announcements on your portal. Again, not bashing you or anything, but this is a big turn-off. Your announcements need to be related to site news, updates, etc, not general topic chitter-chatter.

You have WAY too many forums right now. It's just daunting looking at all the empty forums. I'd delete a few, or at least tuck them away, until they are actually needed. For now, you need to have only a few general forums, and let the activity start in there, before trying to spread it around.

Hope these observations help you make some needed changes

I am updating the site this week because I have been really careless about it. I have a new theme that is ready to be installed and some cool new features

I dont know if the site I went onto was the new and improved one or not but wanted to say that when I went on it I had NO idea what so ever what the forum was about... Got all confused! Lol. Why dont you place a short caption underneath the main text in your banner saying something a long the lines of "A general discussion forum" sort of thing. Just a suggestion!

The best way you can build a relationship with forum members is by answering questions.

Everyone likes to receive help.

Check out the top forums. They have many questions that need answers. People are waiting to get help from someone.
