|  Newsletters Do you send them? How often? What features do you include? Do you have a set template or just write an email? Any tips or tricks on sending newsletters?

Join Date: Sep 2005 Posts: 316 Location: Great Yarmouth, UK | i dont really send newsletters i have a mod set up on my board for vbulletin called commbull its basically a community bulliten it does all the work for me it pulls a list from database of the latest posts and threads and polls. i wasnt sure if anyone reads them coz wen i get them from other sites they got straight in trash can but when i go look at my stats thru cpanel i notice i get alot of redirections from hotmail email accounts so must be doing summit right  i send a community bulletin roughly every 2 weeks to keep ppl upto date with my site.

| You can do it with Proboards but unfortunately their mass e-mail function doesn't seem to be working at the moment. For now, I just log all new users e-mail addresses and then send an e-mail from my personal account. I send out newsletters from time to time just to tell people that we're still out there and to tell them of any new features we have. I also warn them about when we're going to have a clean up as well so that they can post to keep their account active.
