I have to confess in my case contests didn't quite work. OK I cannot afford giving a VB license for instance since I can't afford it for myself, but even so my people didn't seem to be too interested in this contest idea.

I have occasionally some small contests in the forums and they can win "credits" (I have a cash mod installed and this is the "local" currency). With credits they can buy unique templates made by me (PSD, not coded) and links in the forums for a month. This doesn't seem to interest them too much either. They seem to enjoy the conversation more ...
