 | selling my own adspace? I have a nice little active forum, currently the only forum in it's particular niche, and I've been thinking maybe it's time to remove AdSense and sell my own adspace on my own terms. I've never done this before so I don't know what to expect. I know there's one main advertiser who almost always bids for the most prominent space on my site plus a couple others who often bid for the subpages, and I'm compiling a list of small businesses/people who would probably be interested in buying my adspace so I can email them when I'm ready. I don't get a ton of clicks each day, my AdSense revenue often comes more from the pageviews. I guess I'm just worried that without Google there will be less competition for those pageviews and then I'll make less money. Has anyone successfully sold their own ads? How do I know when it's ready? What should I do to prepare?

   | If you still want to run Adsense and also private advertisers, you could install an ad rotation script like Homepage | Openads ad server: take control of your advertising and display both in the same location.

  | If you can get more from selling your own adspace rather than adsense, then go for it! Openads would be the best thing to use, as you don't want alot of banners cluttering up your pages.
