Keeping track of Income and Expenses

How does everyone making money with their forums keep track of advertising money, expenses and all that stuff?

I just installed the QuickenBooks (the free vers.) and it works quite well. Also good for sending out invoices to advertisers who like them.

Anyone else use Quicken or something similar? Or a completely different method

I track what I need to track in Excel...The rest I rely on my credit card to do for me.

I don't track enough though. I could be doing a much better job, but I'm probably like you and haven't found the best way to do it

I've got Quicken but never tried using it to track business expenses

I use my debit card + bank balances. Everytime I withdraw money or deposit, I make sure to run to the bank and ask for an account balance. If I spend money, I write it down and make sure I have to make it back, however; if its for personal reasons, then I don't try to make it back; it just happens.
