Please look at www.theamericanvoters.com/candidates.php (setup is simialar for each candidate page) and let me know how I can monetize the site better.

Search engine traffic has increased tremendously the past few weeks with the primaries going on. Receiving few hundred uniques a day because of the candidate platforms.

Google Search:
2008 candidate platforms - 6th on Google
[candidate name] platfor - varies by candidate but typically in the top 5 or around there
* If you put quotes around the search I'm in the top 3 like yahoo.

Yahoo Search:
Same Terms above - #1 or in top 3 for all the one's I've done.

How can I monetize these candidate pages better to start getting more clicks? Should I put some links in the actual platform?

Also a little off topic for this thread but how can improve the results in google so I'm closer to the top? I think if I had the same rankings in Google as I do in Yahoo, I could get 3X the traffic?

Ad Placement within the content normally converts better from what I've experienced. Banner placement at the top and bottom of the page will convert, if the traffic is there, however, content placement seems to allow for more conversion.
