The truth is, no "website evaluation" site will accurately estimate the worth of a site.

Those sites are always way off. Both of them value one of our other sites at just above what it makes us each month. For large businesses the way I've seen companies sold is 5x the yearly revenue. For small websites I'd say about 2 years revenue is good.

That's definitely not right. I don't make ANY revenue (if by revenue you mean money).

I think you are missing the point. While a low Alexa ranking is nice, most people purchasing a site are going to look at 1 or 2 things. First, is it generating money right now? If yes, they will calculate a value based on that amount. Second, is it a great domain name that is easily marketable. If yes, then the Alexa ranking is easy to get down and

Remember, a good site owner can always get a better Alexa ranking for a site once they buy it and put it into their network of already high ranking sites. So don't bank too much on your Alexa ranking, unless you are in the top 1000, and if you are then you should be making some serious money from your site.

1 - i make around $20 or so a month. I have already paid off last yrs hosting cost, and almost about to pay of this yrs costs. If i can pay off hosting costs i am happy. if i can double or even triple or more my traffic, then making revenue from the site is a piece of cake. I reason i say this is because i have 4 ads on the site that are very well places. All of them make around the same amount of revenue, lets say each make around $5 or so. I know $20 is not a lot but for a small mostly one man show its a TON.

2 - i think that my site name and .com are extremely marketable. Neocrisis.com *my site name* is unique, short and does not mean anything at all. Its the same as google's name. For this very reason i can add any type of content that i want on my site.

3 - i do not have a network of sites with high ranking sites because neocrisis is my very first and most likely only site. So i can not get the help of a network of sites that i do not have.

4 - I really do not plan to sell my site. However if a real world situation occurs in which i needed money or something, that may make it a different story.

5 - I do not bank on my Alexa rank at all. It is just a personal achievement for me, to get a high rank on Alexa. My rank is going up every few days, which makes me very happy

6 - Another thing that is making me extremely happy, is that my site will pass the 1,000,000 total site visitor mark in around 8 months or so. Again this is just a personal achievement for myself
