Have you ever advertised on a Pay Per Click Network?

Have you ever advertised your site on a PPC network? (Pay Per Click, such as Bidvertiser or Adsense)

I've done this twice, with pretty poor results. I got about 10 clicks for every 35000 impressions

Any of you done this and had any better luck?

we used to do yahoo and google years ago when it wasn't so saturated. We were hardcore managing bids etc. We would spend upwards of $1000 per day on overture doing affiliate marketing. Now it is so competitive that it requires soooo much work and constant supervision to make any money with it, i don't even bother.

The only real time we use google or yahoo ppc stuff is when it is a relatively new product or idea that hasn't been completely bogged down with other bidders. We buy a lot of stuff on ad networks like etology and adbrite.

How about Facebook PPC advertising? I tried it once for my clothing store. I let it roll for 2 weeks, only getting around 10-20 clicks per day at $0.15/click. I managed to get some sales of it..
