   | I have never done this and I think it'd be only beneficial at very large forums focused on something webmaster-ish. Very large to make it worth sharing revenue, and webmaster so your members actually have adsense or whatever other accounts.

 | I just advised a client to remove it, his site isn't "huge" but even on a site like Digitalpoint with over a 1,000 on at any given time and being there 2 years and 6k post, I bet I've made MAYBE 50 cents..lol I had it on my site, I don't really think the end user makes very much for the time it takes to build threads up. When I find a new webmaster forum I might be interested in, I'll join because of the blog link in post like here at AF, vs the rev sharing hack.

| I guess you are right with the DigitalPoint thing, I don't think I have ever made any money from them. But I guess, members would do it just for the chance of it happening. Especially, on some forums where the adverts shown are based on post counts - they can give themselves a better chance by posting more. |

| i have never taken part in ad revenue sharing programmes. i think those are not more effective.
