Join Date: Oct 2005 Posts: 652   | Need your opinion on Admin duties Suppose at a relatively small forum, a member makes a topic that might be a bit off-topic for the section, though has a small amount of logic to it. Should the staff fix the problem on the spot, or should they just let it slide in order to prevent from annoying the precious topic creator?  | ||||

| I'd wait a little bit to see if the thread goes anywhere, and if it stays pretty much off-topic then close it and make sure the thread creator understands why. Or of course if you have a section that it fits better in than move it right away.

Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 431 Location: Central Ohio, USA | I'd probably watch where it goes first, and then move it if it doesn't seem to match the section it's in. If there wasn't an appropriate section, I'd probably send it over to our "All That" forum (off topic) with a 3 days or so redirect. Everyone makes mistakes, no reason to close it  (unless it's against the rules) | ||||
