Honestly, I don't think that there is anything else that you can do...You could add something in there that will check their address and prompt them with a special message/pop-up if they try to use an AOL address...but then again, you're basically already doing this (just before, not after)

Just so you don't feel lonely, WowBB has the same issue with AOL. It's the nemesis for everyone I think.

It is a real catch 22 with forums. AOL does not work with any of them and of course the AOL people know about the problem, but they are never going to help with it. They want people to stay with their content, and not go elsewhere, lol.
AOL was once a giant. They could have continued to be a giant, but they got all confused in their giantness and forgot about their customer for the all important $$$. What will go down as the biggest scam deal in American history will be when AOL BOUGHT Time Warner. Years later this already looks terrible, but when history looks back in decades it will be one of the worst deals of all time.

easy solutions for AOL people, if you using AOL on ADSL / DSL and have it on a router, dont use the AOL software then just use firefox or IE and use another email account i.e. google mail or hotmail etc

works like a charm

I know many people dont like AOL but personally I have not had 1 problem at all with them!

I have the same problems with AOL. I think it's just easy to get blocked on their servers. One or two people report your emails as spam and that's it.
