| Veteran ![]() | Members who do what they want Have you ever had a user sign up, and think the rules don't apply to them? At my forum, we have a system where graphics requests can only be completed by the Graphics team, so as to maintain a certain quality. A little while ago I had a user sign up and start completing requests. I politely posted a link to the rules stating this, and he replies saying 'So I guess I'll start sending it through PM's then?' And then he goes on about how it's a power trip, and I'm a stupid admin for making this rules, and no good graphics forum should ever have this. This got him nothing but a swift ban I just think it's rude to waltz onto a forum and feel you can do what you like. I think I've said this before, but it's like walking into someone's house, punching them in the face, and expect them to let you stay for dinner.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've only had about two members like this, and both of them ended up getting banned. At first, I gave them a warning, which they received, but completely ignored. I banned both of them shortly after. Chris |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I know exactly what you mean...it happens, unfortunately quite often too. The people who bother me most are not necessarily the regular members who waltz in, not knowing what they are doing, and act like they are invincible...The people who bother me (some we've encountered here at AF) are the ones who either donate to the forums and are supporter status and/or are well known outside of the forums. We've had people come in who feel like they are allowed to bend the rules a little bit because they are "elite" or because they have donated to AF. The truth of the matter is that everybody must follow the same rules in the forums regardless of who you are or how much money you've given us. You can't buy your way out of the rules...but when these people break a rule and receive a warning, they flip out and can't believe that you'd actually warn somebody of their stature.
