Banned Message?

I'm interested to know what banned message you use at your forums please?

Do you simply have 'You're banned' or something else?

Whatever vBulletin's stock one is in 3.6.x. Sometimes I get creative with the reason for banning.

A couple of my recent ban reasons:
Even after being warned, you have advertised your website without permission. If you would like to purchase advertising please e-mail w#######.org. We may notify your ISP and your internet connection could be removed.

You have been banned for advertising stolen/counterfeit products on this forum. We will also also notify your ISP's abuse department and the police. Contact us on web#########ms.org.

And yes, I do contact their ISP. One user who was promoting a ClickBank link. After contacting CB about this, he has one chance left with CB before they terminate his account.

I never thought about this. I just use the default message with a small reason, usually Spammer or whatever the offense is.

I usually use the default message, with a few custom sentences (explaining the reason for the ban, how long, etc).

I've never edited the ban message... I don't feel a banned user is worth my time to give them a custom message.

Most of the time I am dealing with "normal" spammers. Who cannot post anyway (God I love that hack that doesn't let them post images and links until they reach a certain postcount - 5 in my forum). But still they would if they could. I just delete them and ban the entire email domain.

I did have some "review spammers" (people who instead giving a review just link to their portfolio). I ban them, censor the link entirely and then add a nice message that they were banned for spamming and anyway .. the link won't ever be posted on Wtricks since it's censored.

It just ticks me off. I have made hundreds of reviews in 3 years already, but never spammed the thing. ufff

I send them a detailed message. I never get any spammers. What I get is trouble makers. I let them know in detail what I think of them (I can be as nasty as them). I also post up in my Staff Lounge in a sticky "View Banned Members Here" and have another one "Post all banned members here". Unfortunately we need to keep track of them. They keep coming back.

Sometimes I feel I am being ruff with them. When I had busy forums I used to something like this:

"You have continued to spam around the forums and posting pointless posts, now get the heck of my forum and plunge spam into another forum".
