Spammers galore

Hey,

My forum (gaming forum) is getting overcrowded each day with numbers averaging to 10 members spamming per day, (one post spam) and then clearing off.

Really annoying, any ways to un spam it?

I'm not sure the software you are using, but I found Is Bot pretty good at helping. I use it on several forums. Another forum I have a custom question which you have to answer when registering and that seems to work.

Yours is vB right - then NoSpam is the best!

I agree, if its vBulletin the NoSpam mod is extremely good.

I am a strong supporter of nospam too!, recently though i have had like 5 spam bots get through it in 2 days, worries me....

We have small spurts every now and then too...Before we installed NoSpam!, we'd probably get 3-5 spambots per day...Now I'd say we average 1 every other week, however, some days, for no apparent reason, we'll get 3-5 spambots (with NoSpam! installed).

If it gets too bad, change the questions/answers...that may help some.

The one hack I would never think about starting another forum without. NoSpam Rocks!

I agree with Ryan, change your question every once in awhile and don't have 1+1= or 2+2=, so many people use those and the spambots developers already know it.
