What about putting these members in a usergroup where their posts are moderated? Those that don't pass muster won't be approved?

I say warn them and tell them the consequence for failure to adhere to simple posting rules is that they will be moved to a group whose posts must be moderated and approved. Post that do not adhere to guidelines will not be approved.

Other than that I am not sure what you can do besides remove them from the forum.

That's a great idea! I didn't think of that...
I've tried talking some sense with this person through pm, then I've tried warning her with the Infraction System, nothing worked.
Yesterday she posted something that I flagged as spam because it had nothing to do with the topic, it was yet another one of her blatant comment. So I gave her a warning and asked her why she kept doing this. She said she feels lonely and left out when she's not participating in a thread. So she'd post in every single one, even if it's to say nothing of substance. I know some people have suggested that I ban her already, but she's been... well, suicidal. How would you guys handle it? Have you had any experience with such member?

(By the way Zagis, thanks for the links. Rep given )

The best thing to do with members who are suicidal like that is to contact their ISP immediately, who will in turn report it to law enforcement and fire/rescue. Until then though, as a less hostile measure until you have been told that she has been taken care of, just put her on the MQ.
