banned members tries to boicot my community

Hi,
Im the owner and administrator of a site about egypt (history and travel) in spain. I had to bann some members because they were making problems against rules and against rationality. They are insane, with sone kind of mental problem, obsesions, super egos, etc. These people (3 persons) dont accept the situation and using double nicks are trying to make or arrange meetings in capital citys with members of my community with the excuse of knowing each other and visit egyptian related things. But the truth is they want to "eat the head", like a cult, of the members to come in order to put them against me and the moderators and at last destroy the community.

I thought a lot of things to do but it seems imposible to find a perfect solution because this is not virtual, this is real.
When they meet, will put the pictures of the banned members with the other ones, and i dont know what to do. I dont want to see their faces anymore.

Any help please?

Ignore it, it will stop. Ban them when you know they are around and it will settle down eventually.
Just keep your members happy, and keep doing what you have been. If you make a scene about it, it will create more drama and make it harder on you.
We have had things like this a few times, new sites started up by the banned, hanging out and meeting up in public etc.. and ya know what? The site is still here, so are the regular members.. the banned ones got bored and moved on.

Its hard as heck to overlook, but your best bet is to be better then all of it and move on as well.

I agree with Liz, that's definitely the best thing you can do.

Just worry about what goes on inside your own forums - ban them when they come back, and continue doing so. Don't make a big deal out of it, because that's what they want you to do. If you play it off like it's no big deal, they will eventually move on.

Thanx a lot.
I will try to ignore it, but it will really hard to do, because they meet with normal users and these ones puts the pictures in my forums and talk about the banned ones as if they were normal users (they don't know who is banned or why).
Now this morning i found pictures of this first meeting with banned and normal users, and of course the meeting was promoted by the banned ones. its a provocation, and they are not friends, this is a new forum, with new people, only the banned ones knows eachother cause they come from another forum where had problems too.
It's incredible what bored people and not healthy people is able to do when they don't have nothing better to do.
Thanx again.

Have you tried to ban their ip? That might help, but i've heard that it may not let people from their locality to join because the ip is similar..

Off-topic: Sounds a great topic, your forum!
