Indeed, we was getting about 5 members a day, posting links to viagra, at like 10posts a day, but the link codes was all wrong, so they wasn't actually linking to anything.

It went on for about a week, and i kept deleting them when they came, then adam installed something and it stopped.

banning IP's a generally a poor idea although useful if you are in the midst of an obvious attack - just be sure to release the ban later on. Using the mod that captures posts with URL's and with keywords into moderation is the best tool combined with the mod that requires X number of seconds for a signup. I am now getting spam posts but they never see the ligt of day thanks to these mods.

If a member doesn't get a post onto the forum they don't show up in the memberlist so there is no need to worry about homepage links, either.
