Spammer Caught Before Could Spam

Ok, well i caught a spammer before he could start to spam

A new member registered and was hanging and login etc but not making any posts so i thought hey up i don't like the look of this considering what my forum topic is, so i decided to google his ip and found he is a blacklisted spammer

His username alone was a pretty good hint lol, maybe he was PM spamming instead of posting? Just a thought

i would have banned him with no research, names a dead giveaway

I think that as forum admins we develop some kind of ability to spot spammers from a mile off... I often delete/ban people before they've even posted because they are showing sure signs of being spammers, and if they are not, well they can sign up again or email me.

Nope he wasn't pming i checked PM stats and it shows how many users have sent and recieved he wasnt to be seen

Another one signed up today by the name Gundas and i googled his ip and there he was on the same bleeding site!

EDIT: Glad i did this ip had over 10 pages worth of results!

3 of the 4 words in his username have spam written all of them...I'm like Caddyman, you really didn't have to do any research
