 | What do you do to minimize spammers that can join the site? well i have some issues with this on my site one way i stoped it was by using the COPPA i think it is called what other ways do you know of if you dont mind telling me

 | I am using vBulletin on my main forum and I am using the NoSpam hack it works quite well. We do get a few manual spammers occasionally, but I usually ban their websites permanently and they don’t dare show their faces again

One thing that deters some people and kinda works is putting the spammers website on the censor list. The spammers can't get around that yet. But for some reason if I give them a permanent infraction or ban them they can still post?! I just don't understand how that's possible unless there is a problem with the vbulletin code - does anyone else have this happen?
