Members from other site spaming my site

Hi

Can you help

I have people coming on to my site from another chat site and posting stuff like ChatzWorld sucks join (their site link) and posting on members profiles we miss you come back to (their site link) as well as that sending out pms to users saying the same.

They have also been spamming our forums with the same.

What can I do?

I have had to ban 5 people now for doing this and they are all coming from the same website. I contacted there website owner but got no reply at all from them

make it so you have to have like 10 posts to PM. watch the site like a hawk, install good ip and cookie detection for double names and ban ban ban, ip ban, then ban some more.

then go to thier site with like 10 other people and spam them back.....

last part is optional, it is WWCD though.....
take no prisoners.

i have also just today put a 15 limit on posts before PM's can be sent.

I am just so sick and tierd of this and dont realy want to go to their site and do the same as that will just cause more problems

Drama creates a "buzz" man, I got a whole slew of members on my PA site cause another sites admin got pissed all his members were leaving his site and coming to mine he started posting content from my forum on his "Taken from Talkpa" then him and his croneys would bash our posts, not realizing he was giving me free advertising.....lmao

Blacklist that domain through censorship option i.e. domain.com and they won't be able to send the link in the spam message.

that or do a global replace like

www.thespammingsite.com = imahomo.com

or something of the like. you getting mad gives them what they want, you playing games and having fun with it makes them angry...

Yeah we have the same problem. It got so out of hand the owner took away everyone's pm priviledges, changed the name of their site to ######### so whenever anyone post their site or even in the pms they get those marks.

Taking away their pm priviledges for a while really helped.
