Fortunately you have done the right thing and paid for it but does that now mean your enemy has done the same on their imitation website??

Might be worth writing to the people you paid and telling them of a possible breach of licence/copyright and this will force them out of pocket or site shut down
I am not sure if they are using hot products on their board. Here is something interesting. He told me NEVER post on the VBulletin forums, now that his gf bought vb (in her sons name) he is posting but not as himself he is posting under her sons name. I was thinking he may be banned and just skirting around it.

Yeah I pretty much have.

Make yours succeed, bring in new members and clear out the trash old ones.

Then forget about them completely as you progress onwards.

Good idea!

If they're doing something illegal, then report them. Nothing upsets ME more than someone trying to ruin hard work.

long story short...
I had a tech guy who decided to get into a romantic relationship with a Mod. No biggy but then I find out that the stuff he had installed on my site was stolen and he never paid, I since have paid for everything and sent letters to the company. So we are good.

He gets pissed and deletes things for the board I ban him, his girlfriend and him started a site. He told me the site was set to destroy my site. They start it and I tell you it is the same exact site even down to stealing my theme.

Well now she is stirring drama and only comes over to see what we have added so she can. I mean everything is alike.

Her other admin and a mod are on my site too. I am thinking of banning her but not sure what is the right thing to do, all the mods have voted to ban her.
Wow... suddenly I don't feel so alone anymore. I have had the same thing happen where a past member had left because they didn't want to follow my forum's guidelines, etc. only to start up their own forums and try to copy all of my good ideas, down to the same board host, chat room and forum sections (although not an exact copy like yours). I also know that this person (or persons) are out to destroy my site and steal all my members... which they almost did, but I had enough good members to support me and stick by me. I also had the admin of a much larger site (1000 members) join my forums just to steal my members (about 30 at the time). I think that is so cruel and I would never do anything like that to another forum. I don't know... but I just believe in having integrity.

I hate people like this and I wish there was some way to throw it all back at them.

It is really terrible when things like this happen. I can only hope they get what they deserve in the end. Are they running licensed software on the copy site? Could you report it if its not licensed maybe?
