I find that even freedom of speech is governed by laws and that its one thing to state your belief or opinion as free speech, but its another to break a law by cyber-bullying, intimidation, promoting illegal acts or soliciting illegal material etc.

It's not censorship and they may have the right to say what they want but you have the right to allow or not allow it on your site. Your right just has more power than theirs.

your forum is not a public place.
your forum is a private world where you are the leader, king, dictator, ruler, czar, and grand poooo bahhh. you can literally throw our anyone you want. you can be a jerk, you can be an ass, you can be Santa Clause. But you also can have no members at all if you are a really big jerk. So you have to find a middle ground where the rules you want to have for your little world are followed and respected in a way that the community likes.

No one ever said running a forum was easy. We all know that it is amazingly hard to build a successful forum, but I think most people with big big forums would say that it is far FAR harder managing and running the big community once you have it and controlling "free speech" or the lack there of that you want to allow in YOUR world.
