As a new site i'm tempted to add us to this new form of search engine type crawler but something bothers me about it and i'm not sure why.

What are your thoughts?

I doubt it too.. just makes you wonder about the people behind the site when they put up the comments about there being a "small fee" for quicker acceptance and then whacking that kinda figure up.

I just don't see the logic behind requesting such a high price for this service. $50 maybe but $500, no way.

As far as i can see it's only been promoted to forum admins at the moment anyhow and most of us know where to find relevant information on certain subjects already.

If it was promoted to the general net surfer more it would be worthwhile-ish but i've seen no evidence of that whilst googling obvious keywords etc

Better late than never..

The fee is of course optional and normal submission is entirely free. Some board owners are in a hurry for whatever reason, maybe the board is tied to some promotional or other event for example, and so they can choose to be added quickly.

Board owners can expedite the process for free - first of all by providing the two board icons we need, second by correctly categorizing their forums - we provide a control panel for board owners to manage each forum indexed by BT.. these two things can significantly speed up the process of being listed.

We are also about to release some cool new features that will also help if board owners choose to use them.
