vBa Gallery sold to PhotoPost
Anyone here suprised by this announcement?

Anyone here use vBAdvanced Gallery... I do, and find it is an excellent product that I plan to continue to use and refine on my forums. I admit that I was suprised at the manner of the announcement, but not at all suprised that this is the business decision taken by Brian.

Essentially, it allows him to concentrate on possible new product development (I know many people have been asking him about an articles system plus several other apps), as well as allowing him to refine and enhance his current portfolio.

Thoughts...?

I for one am very dissapointed. Photopost has a somewhat bad reputation in the customer service and support department. And of course there's the issue that this reduces choice. Plus, depending upon the manner in which its handled, future releases probably won't integrate smoothly into vBa CMPS and other vBa products.

As a past user of both system, I for one am disappointed by the move.
I'll just learn to be independent and code one on my own then. Probably nowhere near 'their standards' but at least the only support person I need to bug is myself. LOL

Oh, this is getting silly.

The only threads that are getting closed are those that are filled with people making wild speculations on why the transaction occured or people making comments with the sole purpose of incitement and VBW have their own reasons for those threads.

And if you read the various posts on PhotoPost you'd know that the $129/$149 prices have nothing to do with vBa Gallery.

You don't honestly believe that they'll keep them as seperate products, do you? They're far too greedy to do that. They'll borrow the coding that they like, and basically phase out vba gallery so they can make more money.
