What are some of the topics you always look for on a forum?

I always look for boards on forum design, boards on movies, literature and recent news.
but my favorite boards are ones for technical support for any web problems, I like to help out on those when and where I can because it's something I like to discuss.

What, as a member, do you like to discuss on forums?

PC games and hardware are my top personal favorites. Of course web and forum developing subjects are becoming my third most looked choice.

Well, I don't look for specific topics within a forum, namely because there are a few types of forums I visit, and that's it. They are:
1) Militant Jewish forums
2) General Chat communities that don't generally allow minors.
3) Political discussion forums
4) Tech/forum admininstation sites.
5) Horror/Exploitation film sites

The Topic I always look for in a Forum ... hmmm.
I would say it has to be the Member Introductions ...

It kind of gives you a first impression of a forum and it's members.

@Hell3 - I also like PC games, however I often have a hard time finding other who are interested in them as well, do you have any sites that you visit with active boards on this subject?

@gprime - General chat is a nessa of course, without a general board a forum to me wouldn't be a forum.
I once got into the political forums as well, and was fairly hard-core into debate every day, but I found out that I just wasn't getting anywhere with them and they were taking up too much time, so I switched to this, which I must say I like just as much and am learning from, so this way I kill two birds with one stone.
And Horror films are my favorites, aside from Sci-fi, which are basically horror with an out of this world twist, I'm on many boards which are mainly based on horror films as well.

@Nosey - I agree that you can tell alot about the type of people who post on a forum by the way they greet their newcomers, individuality and graciousnes are hard found on the internet today, which is also why I check this section regularly to find new and interesting people to speak with.

I look for tech related threads and specially web designing, I love topics which gives me knowledge about web designing and coding.....

that is one reason I love Best-Boards

I love debate forums when they are managed right - which in itself is very tricky. I'm also a sucker for reality tv (don't say a word - i know!) and of course i love forums for forum admins, i like the shared experience, resources and assistence that can be got through them

Then medicine, science, news, and hardware topics. Especially those threads that have great content, and feisty posters.
