Join Date: Mar 2006 Posts: 24 Location: Lebanon  | changing the skin I just changed my board skin to a black one http://www.oneforum.org and the same as always, users are complaning about the change, and I noticed that few users are getting agressive towards me and said they're leaving coz of the black skin (it hurts the eyes as they said) what do u do in such situation? do you create a new lighter skin to be a secondary one or you just let them live with it? Note that I don't like to work on 2 skins, it's alot of work!  | ||||

| Pleasing all members is impossible, but a choice of a light and dark skin should be inplace to satisfy the majority. Members participating from work need an office friendly skin. I appriciate the extra work needed to run two skins but i feel it is a 'must' to keep alot of members happy and to keep them at your site.

| Member feedback is essential to any communities growth. Personally i'd expand on your ideas regarding the result of the poll and open a discussion as to what the members want and need.

| I also dont like dark skins. At my site I've always used a bright skin with blue and through the time of the site those colors (white&blue) have become the sites color so I have sticked to these colors moreless, but some members were complaining and said I hurt their eyes, even a few said I was using them as rabbits in a experiment and they would leave.  Anyway I took a screenshot of my bright skin, loaded it into photoshop and inverted it, then created a skin quick and easy
