I have found this mod for vBulletin (3.6.0) it uses a simple method of you typing in a question, and then giving the answer. You can do multiple questions or just one, it will randomly choose the question if you have more than one, on my demo, press f5 to see this in action.
This Helps prevent spam, as bots cannot be programmed to this, as questions are random, and you can changed them every month or so, and of course, every person who uses it, is likely to set different questions, to see it, look at my reg page. (if your logged in log out first)

There will be the CAPTCHA, plus above that a No-Spam Question, plus a question i typed in.

That's an interesting modification but I like it. Anything to help reduce or eliminate the chance of spam bots is always a good thing.
