Great, some titwank hacked my portal

(Link Edited, Set up redirection, where the portal was, it will now just redirect to the forum.)

I suppose these things happen

Ive grabbed a full backup of my forum, just in case they move on to that.

God knows how i deal with the portal. Obviously php-Nuke isnt too secure

I sure don't miss that happening. Change all your locks: use uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.

I never thought PHP-Nuke was any good - looked about as stable as a 4-story building supported by toothpicks.

Well, Portal Backup is corrupt, guess i will have to start a fresh, with securer software.
Luckily forums are untouched.

Sorry to here that Captain Kirk, luckly they didn't get to your forums. Have you got any updates for your software your using? i didnt update and i paid to consequenses.

It was php-nuke, not the securest of software to be honest. Everything is up to date on mine (vB 3.6.0

Is there any securer free portal software?

have you thought about vbadvance? I don't know if it's exactly what you are looking for, but it's free and easy to use

Funny, ive had that, its currently been bypassed with a DB error. (its database was damaged last month)

PHP-Nuke has had too many issues over the years to think of running it, I haven't really heard of it much of recently...but years back i know it had issues.
