Pictures

Hello, like I said before...I'm planning to make a forum based on a television series. The television series is called Heroes. I can only find quality pictures on the NBC website but I don't know if I'll be able to use those photos for my banner. Do any of you know what I should do?

They are probably copyrighted. You could email and ask permission of use (most people wouldn't tho) and expect a standard company answer of no.

How am I able to get the pictures then? I see some people who have Heroes forum on this forum, maybe they could help? Thanks.

My answer was a bit tongue in cheek. I’d say just grab them and go ahead and use them, but that’s entirely up to you, and I’m not saying do that, (although I just did).

Hm...I think it would make the forum look good if there were pictures of the actual cast and so on. However, like I said before...I'm in doubt. I mean, where else am I suppose to find those photos?

I asked someone and they said if it's a fan-based website, then we're able to use the image as long as we give them credit?

You should consult the channel as has been mentioned. Your intended use of the picture does not constitute 'fair use' and that's why you have to ask them first.

im not sure, i see people with pictures from tv shows on their forums all the time. I reckon a lot of people get away with it.
