If you had Trademarked the name, that would be another story. You may trademark your forum name if it is unique, but that costs money and requires an application. Copyrights involve "intellectual property"...You can copyright the content, design, and material on your website. As a matter of fact, copyrights arise naturally for any unique material (a very broad definition)...But unfortunately they are in fact allowed to use your name freely unless you trademark it
