Getting worried

Hi guys

I have amember that has the same ip address as me

When i check my posts and click the ip button there username comes up aswell.

I also have an advanced search in my admin control and if i search my ip there username will appear there too.

The user has made some posts and seems to be a genuine.

How could this happen?

btw i have a static ip

Yes but they don`t live with me, i only have one pc connected to the internet in my house.

i shouldn't have said siblings i should have said someone living in the same house

Anyway i have no idea why that is happening you could always change your IP address

I'd say this is something to do with your forum's database becoming corrupt - it's not impossible, but very, very unlikley that someone else has your IP and posts on your forum.

I'm not a big fan of self-promotion, but if you have a router / NIC that lets you change your IP address, check out my guide [as opposed to leaving your modem off all night]:
