How to prevent downloader program

I make a music online website that use Flash to handle mp3 from remote host. File locations are handled by PHP (Links and Download Manger plugin of vBulletin) However, PC which has InternetDownload Manager can automatically download the file so I can not force the user to listen to mp3 online.

Is there anyway to prevent the downloader from downloading the file and only allow mp3 file to be received by Flash.

I don't know if Flash sends referrers, but you could use .htaccess to block out people from accessing the .mp3 if they're not sent from your domain

Can u tell me more about the content of .htaccess file.

By the way, what I think is the problem is IDM can detect that Flash was downloading a file. When I look at the detail of the downloaded file in IDM, it says the download URL was mydomain.com/download.php?id=1

Any help?
