  | Pointless Copyright? I am sure most of us have a copyright tagged onto the footer of our forum. But, my question is, does this copyright have ANY legal value? |

  | In some countries, all that is needed for basic copyright is the (c) logo. In other countries you do however need the whole legal documents, and the whole hog.

 | In the US, the © (c) logo is fine and protects your site. But don't add "inc" or "llc" or something like that unless you actually register for it. You have to pay money for that. If you want to give your forum a businessy type thing like "inc." or whatnot, use "group". Group is legal to use without registration.

| Depends what is your claiming copyright on (and which country you in) In most countries when you create something you are automatically granted copyright so the sign does mean something in that respect
