I will be in the process of a major TOS-overhaul here soon...as the current is one I used for a previous gaming forum with a few changes here and there...it really doesnt apply to these admin forums very well.

If you have a solid TOS you would like to share with us, please do...I'm looking for organization ideas.

My TOS is quite bad, but I'll still share it:

Here are the rules. Be sure to follow them, and if you aren't sure if something you are about to post is in line with the rules, contact an Admin or Moderator.
1 - No spamming. Spamming includes but is not quite limited to the following:

1. Posting pointless messages (such as messages containing the same word over and over again. Random posts aren't /usually/ spam).

2. Posting multiple times in a row without someone else replying first.
3. Rephrasing yourself to be heard by a larger audience and, basically, repeating the same thing over and over again.
4. Posts consisting only of smilies.
5. Posts that are less then two-three words long.

2 - No flaming or bashing. Flaming is the act of calling someone names, insulting them, attacking them in any way that would hurt them etc. This is not tolerated.

3 - No impersonations of other people. Such as saying that you are an admin or a moderator when you really aren't. Or saying you are a certain celebrity/person/user when you aren't.

4 - No other languages. Not everyone who moderates knows another language, in fact, some of the mods and admins may only know English. Also, refrain from posting leet and extreme chatspeak.

5 - No posting pornographical material or linking to it. Do not link to or post anything illegal. Also, do not post to a site or post code that can corrupt a computer in any way.
6 - Posting things just to elict an arguement or saying that this particular website is terrible, is NOT permitted.

7 - Harrassing a mod or admin over why they did something or for any action they have taken is not allowed.

8 - Do not ask for very personal information from a user, such as phone number, address, full name. This is also not allowed.

9 - And last of all, have fun on the forums. =3

I will be quick:

Don't spam. I delete spam posts and warn the offender. I have a market place for the people to advertise and buy/sell/exchange but it's visible for people with more than 20 posts. Kinda "kills" the spammers

Signature can be 2 lines and have 3 hyperlinks to 3 different sites. I don't accept links to pages on the same domain. I dont' accept affiliate links. I think the use is unfair so I just don't permit this.

I don't like bashings and stupid replies. My members need to use proper English and write thoughtful posts. My community is a nice one, but I don't want the discussion to become dumb.

Not to many rules in the end, but I do stick to them ..
