Proprietary info

I run a website that's basically a place for employees of a company (convergys) to vent about things at work. My posters deal with proprietary info on a day to day basis and if any of it got posted, it could land me in big legal trouble.

Now, in my TOS and the rules of my board, I basically have it set up to say that it is the responsibility of the individual poster not to post any proprietary info and that while I might censor information that is obviously proprietary (customer info, documents marked "proprietary"), I won't do so in most cases unless I'm notified by a representative of Convergys.

I posted this and a copy of the rules and TOS on a "free legal help" board, but the only response I've gotten so far is "that's not enough to keep you from being held liable."

Anyone have any other info on this?

Can I ask what made you start this type of forum topic?

I have to say form a personal standpoint, your treading water. I agree, I don't think that is enough. Your best bet would be to contact an attorny, who can make up a better TOS, but anything will still leave you open to "the big guys"

Well, can't be too careful when dealing with big corporations.

I think that this type of forum can only lead to trouble

I dont know how much a company will want people venting publicly about any problems they have
