Am I able to have people under 18 talking about sex on my forum? Also, if people under 18 did have sex and they said it on the forum, is that allowed? I've asked on Sitepoint and I think they said it's allowed but I'm not sure.

hmmm.... if the child is 15 and is admitting to sex on your forum and local authorities find out about it then the other party, if older, could be tried for statutory rape.

As far as your legal problems I dont think you would be held accountable.

BamaStangGuy guy is right. In most countries the legal age for sexual intercourse is 16 (although some countries are younger.) But discussing it, well different matter because there are no age limits.

Normally if teens are bragging about sex in even a casual way means they probably didn't do anything. If it worries you then make a set of rules to what's acceptable about the conversation: Contraceptive, disease, unmarried mothers/fathers etc and what is unacceptable: Whether or not its good to do it in public, does standing on your head make you last longer

But you are not responsible for what your members do off your forum. But please make sure you have somewhere in your T.O.S. that you don't condone, or support in anyway what-so-ever, this kind of behaviour.

Well apart from sounding like a preacher and saying its a no-no then there's not an awful lot you can do. If you start asking who was the partner, what age etc. you'll most probably loose a member, but this would be unimportant if its found out that the other was a teacher or something.

Really, I think that all you can do is remind members that it's advice not a bragging discussion.

Also like I said, half the time teens make it up. (I did, lol.)

Idea:
Put up an announcement stating the sexual laws and say that anyone here who is having sexual intercourse under your countries legal limit will be reported to the authorities with infromation gained from the forums such as IP, E-mail etc. (This is why it's always best to pursuade members to fill out their profiles.)

I think I'll just say that if the person is under 16, they shouldn't say or make threads about having sex. Is that good? Anyway, thanks for the advice. This forum always gives me the best advice. Haha, funny thing...my forum is about advice. Haha...
