"Paul S. Owen (better known as psoTFX to most of you), who put in a lot of blood, sweat and tears as the Lead Developer for phpBB2.0.x, phpBB3.0.x (née Olympus) and more recently becoming the co-manager of the phpBB Project, has indefinitely left the team due to unforeseen personal reasons.

I would like the community to wish him all the best for the future and that sunnier days come soon. "

I don't know him... but I'll wish him well... while phpbb isn't my personal preference in forum software, it's great as a start-up forum for teaching newcomers to admining

For beginners, phpBB, isn't that great cause they have mod a lot themselfes (if they want things like subforums and etc.). I think that plain phpBB is a bit more for the expierenced user.

Well, soon is a relative definition. I think it's AT LEAST going to take a year for the first BETA under the current circumstances.
