Replace "Powered by vb" in your titles
Hello fellow vbulletin users!

Have you ever wished you could change your site's title in a browser from

domainname.com - Powered by vBulletin

to

domainname.com - (byline here)? || or just || domainname.com ?


Well, now you can. It's a simple phrase that you can edit. Here are the simple instructions.

Goto your AdminCP and select the Languages & Phrases section; then the Phrase Manager menuitem. You will be looking to find x_powered_by_vbulletin phrase, (they are listed in alphabetical order. This starts with an 'x'). Select [edit] from the right column for this row.

Click the button named [Copy Default Text] and you will see "{1} - Powered by vBulletin" in the edit box. Feel free to edit that phrase to whatever you wish! (be sure to save)

I always thought you had to get the branding free option to change this?

I like this edit.. especially when my domain name didn't have the keywords I wanted. I just added it to the x_powered_by_vbulletin phrase!

yes, if you've read anything about SEO then you'll see ppl commenting on how important the title tag is to SERP's

if your site is about music, and you have "powered by vbulletin" in All your title tags. That means it will also be in everyone of your indexed pages.

So will you put keywords in this area ?, I do not, I'd rather have the bots get to the meta descriptions and such, this will have unique content related to my site * hopefully*
