I am trying to create a forum which is visible on the main forum page but members cannot access it without permission.

I have added the new forum and denied access to all usergroups. I then set up a new usergroup giving them access. But, when I test it the member who I gave access to by adding the new usergroup as an additional group were unable to see the test posts.

I just can't get it to work. Any help would be much appreciated

Is that group allowed all the normal permissions like' View threads' etc

All of the usergroups will be allowed access to the new usergroup which has permissin to view/post etc but I want to approve each member individually by giving them access to the new group as an additional usergroup.

I have set a password and when a member tested it for me last night they were asked for the password to access the new forum but they couldn't see the posts. It's probably something very simple that I've overlooked but I just can't figure it out.

I have managed to sort this now but thanks for your help guys
