Join Date: Sep 2005 Posts: 1,354 Location: Spring, Texas  | Blocking adsense ads from showing on certain vBulletin forums? I was thinking about implementing adsense ads on my pet community, the virtual pet forum, and implementing it above the "Quick reply", however; my debate forum has topics that don't exactly comply with the adsense terms - and I have staff forums, and I believe ads aren't supposed to show in private forums.. How can I do this? Does anyone know?  | ||||

Join Date: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,321 Location: Delaware   Recent Blog: November Member of the Month  | quick thing that comes to mind is get everything how you want it then make a copy of your style, and remove the ads you dont want set the forum you don't want the ads on to override to that style  we did this once on a forum i was running because a few forums we had in there didn't comply with adsense. | ||||

Join Date: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,321 Location: Delaware Recent Blog: November Member of the Month | also look into the "vb ad management" hack on .org i think it has a option to turn of ad x,y,z in forums x,y,z so you could use say $threadadvertisement for this spot, and turn it off in forum #29 for example. | ||||

| In the forum manager in the admincp, look at that forums properties and there should be a style option to force a certain style in that forum. Just pick the appropriate style with or without ads.
