Creating a Portal

I want to make my own homepage, so it's like a portal. I just want information and a nav bar at the side.

However, this is where I get stuck. My forum is located at /public_html/forum whereas I want this page to appear in just /public_html/index.php.

How do I do it so it feeds back to the forum to get the template (navbar & footer and the content) ?

In a way it's a bit like how AdminFusion has done it or vbadvanced.

Regards
D

just use vbadvanced, it sets you up a seperate index.php page that you can put outside of your forum root and takes on your selected style etc
