| User titles per group I want to set it up so I can have both a rank icon for all usergroups and either a user title or text user rank based on which usergroup a user is in (horde or alliance). Since there are separate sets of titles for each faction in WoW. I don't care whether I use titles or ranks for the text part but it definitely needs to be per usergroup. The only 2 ideas I had were that if I could have the rank image and text appear in different places in the postbit, or if theres a mod for per-group titles which I could not find on vb.org. Anyone know a solution for this?

| I thought of that but the problem is that I want them to display on different parts of the postbit. If I knew some code snippet saying if its an image display rank and if its text display rank that would work perfect. But I don't know how to write that.

| Well you could always just set up usergroup promotions. Make a usergroup for each text rank you want to use, and set up promotions like I have (see screenshot at end of post). Mine are just to give extra permissions, but you can override the usertitles with the text rank names. Then you can move the usertitle and the rank image around in your postbit. Seems the easiest way to me, only issue it causes is a few more usergroups to edit when installing new modifications.  | ||||

| Thats a pretty good idea LightScribe. For me the only problem is the amount of titles I was wanting to use (14) so I don't want to have to make that many usergroups. I'll probably go ahead and test this but tell me if this would work. I could enable html for titles and use <img> code to put the rank images I want for the titles which is for all usergroups, and then put the text in as ranks based on usergroup.

| OK well I found out a solution for my particular problem. Right now I have a rank image based on post count for all usergroups and also titles. I found a mod at vb.org that shows me the conditionals I need to do an extra image Staff rank above username - vBulletin.org Forum except you can really do it for any usergroup, so I'm going to use it for premium member badges and stuff like that.
