Hi, I have an average of 20 or more spam nicks registered at my forum each day. and they are auto posting those viagra and sex links with contents in my forums how can i stop them from signing up? i have the orginal catcha image from Vbulletin turned on. i have installed the No Spam turned on (example: 3+5=8) what else do i have to do?? thnks

| Generally, SPAM-Bots register using free e-mail address providers or fake e-mails. If you've activated CAPTCHA and the No SPAM! mod, consider banning certain e-mail providers. Banning IP's will only get you so far and you may end up banning an entire IP range before it's really that effective and in the process, you'll ban legitimate users.

| I would add more questions and answers to your NoSpam! hack and I would also turn off the default CAPTCHA, I have this feeling the default is overriding the NoSpam. Since installing on my forums, I might get 1 or 2 spammers a month, so I think something might be wrong with what you have going on. Unless every single one is a human. | ||||

I hear those are the easiest for the bots to circumvent. I use a single question: What is this website about, ceilings or floors? (It's a flooring website and I have allowed for various misspellings of floors too). Jim
