Animated avatars on VB

I just installed the latest version of VB on a new forum and my users are not able to upload animated avatars. I want to allow this. I have been looking around but can't find the settings. Any help? Thanks

I believe if the filesize/dimensions is over your limit, vB might try to reduce the file to the proper size thus taking away any animation.

Thanks, maybe that is it. What would be a good file size limit if I want to allow animated avatars

Hard to tell, depending on how many frames there is in the gif, and how compressed it is, .gif files are usually anywhere from 20Kb to 2Mb.

I usually set my avatar limit to 40kb but allow larger filesizes and dimensions for premium members.

That is also how I would do it, presuming the board in question does "Premium" subscriptions, etc.
