I agree, maybe they could have special season discount. Or even referring discounts etc. I think this would help them sell even more licenses.

Ah yes - kinda like the best advertising is from your current customers = word-of-mouth...

Interesting idea though because vBSEO has an affiliate program. Does vBulletin even have such a program? I've never heard of it hmmm...

No, I don't think they do have such a program. I think it would definitely be a better. Although they are popular, it would boost their users up considerably.

commision junciton used to have a affiliate deal with jelsoft. if you were a CJ advertiser you could made commish on vB.

To be honest, I chose not to use vBulletin for years because of the price. Then about 3 years ago I bit the bullet and purchased it, I am so glad I did because it is "The Best" forum script out there. (in my opinion)
