Is vBulletin too much?

Do you think vBulletin is over-priced? Or do you think you get what you pay for?

I think it's definitely the best forum software on the market, so I am willing to pay for it. That said, I was not a fan of the recent price increase.

Yep - of course it's overpriced. Fortunately- it's an awesome software that's worth its price.

If it is worth it's price then how is it overpriced?

No, IMO, it is not overpriced.

Good question CADDYMAN - and yup - my comment is sort of an oxymoron I suppose. But when you consider vBulletin as an investment (meaning you can get your money back in the eventual adsense or other ad network revenue...) it is definitely worth the overpriced expenditure for the $180 owned license

I thought it was slightly expensive when I first bought it, but now I know the features really well, I think it is well worth the money. You don't have to pay to update your license now do you?

Ha! I surely won't tell
One of these days I'm gonna get a couple more license for a few ideas I have. What's the multi-license discount like?

Yup - you have to pay yearly to keep your license up to date. For leased licenses you MUST pay to keep running the software legally - for owned you have to pay for access to updated versions and access to the support.
