Hello All,

Most of you know me as the Resident AdminFusion Developer. If you don't, hello. Just about every custom feature that has been developed for AF to date I was in part or totally responsible for. That being said I have recently gotten some free time and a vBulletin license. What I'm looking for are some ideas for a vb addon that you would like to see developed. I would prefer to make something that is good enough to be a paid mod, but I will also embrace a free addon depending on it's usefulness. Please note I am not looking to do something that has been done a ton of times over. I am however looking for something that is useful by a broad audience. This can be a simple modification or it can be a full scale system. I will NOT develop PostFusion clones. Most other AF features are off limits too, unless I get permission from Ryan. Also I know this sounds a little strange, why not come up with an idea of my own you say? Well I have a ton of my own ideas, but I would like to make sure I'm coming up with something more than just I would like to see developed.

What will you get in return for your idea? You will get what ever addon I develop free of charge and support for it. We can negotiate upgrades and the like. Please feel free to submit your ideas here or to me in PM if you don't want your ideas out in the open, but know that any idea that you propose will be branded from my website and possibly sold for profit by me. If you don't want your idea to be possibly used by me for profit I can understand, but I won't be developing it.

A sidebar with drag and drop widgets. The widgets could consist of a "latest 10 posts" box, a calendar, a site news box, etc... Which widgets appear should be user selectable. The widgets should make use of AJAX where feasible. Other developers should be able to design and release additional widgets.

Think of Google's custom home pages, except on the sidebar of your forum.

This could also be a home page type feature, very much like vbAdvanced, but better.

Glen, I like your idea. For now I would just write a bunch of posts/threads in a hidden forum that doesn't increase my post count, and then "copy" the posts/threads every day a little bit at a time.

Then someone could make a batch file mod to do the copying for ya.
