Sorry if this is the wrong place to post it, but this seemed the most logical of the available forums.

I'm looking for a partner to help launch a new site. The site would be fairly vast content wise, and would encompass a forum element amongst other components.

First thing is first. I'll address the actual theme of the site: Islam. And no, I'm not talking about a site for Muslims. I meant something more along the lines of Jihad Watch or Apostate of Islam. Now I understand how controversial a subject this may be, so only contact me if you are comfortable on working on such a site.

Now, as to the design/features of the site, I'm fairly flexible. On some level, a forum component must exist. And the BBS must be a php one. No ASP, Coldfusion, et al BBS systems are up for consideration. Functionally though, more of a site must exist. This could be achieved either through the mainpage using a standalone blog app, or as I would prefer, using some type of CMS like Etomite.

In terms of my motivation for seeking a partner, I am essentially hoping to lighten my load a bit, as creating and maintaining such a site would be a daunting task. Now, in terms of costs, I open to suggestions on how to split them. My budget is limited, and I'd ideally like this site to retain its informational credibility by not being bogged down by tacky ads. So any financial resources you could bring to the project would be of great importance. This includes everything from covering a BBS if a premium system was selected, paying for hosting, ect. Similarly, the more technical skills the better. Naturally you don't have to be a great expert, but some familiarity with the systems used, and their installation, modification, and back-up functions would be strongly preferred. As to the number of partners, I don't have that in mind. If several qualified people volunteer, then I'd be glad to work with all of them. Similarly, if only one applicant appears qualified, then so be it. If you believe in the concept behind the project and would like to help us, but lack the skills to otherwise contribute, donations or free ad space would be much appreciated.

I have no interest in the topic, but since you mentioned you haven't decided on a forum system yet, I recommend using SMF.

It meets your basic requirement of being PHP-based.
